| Changebooks are used, along with eggs, to transmigrate Phantoms.
STOLEN FROM GAMEFAQS BOARD: 1.) Have any of your phantoms killed, whether it be in battle or you bashing their face in on Phantom Isle. 2.) Have the phantoms body destroyed, whether it be in battle or you making them soul-less on Phantom Isle. 3.) Go to your Healer. 4.) Choose to sacrifice the Change Book (or egg) as the item to bring back the "soul-less" phantom. You can also do this: 1.) Summon Change Book to Phantom Isle. 2.) Walk to Change Book and press "square" to pick it up. 3.) Walk up to the person you want to change to. 4.) Press R2. but I really don't understand what the point is of that. UPDATE: a little more Gamefaqs board reading reveals this: if you're leveling weapon mana on Phantom Isle, switch into the Whisp that gives you tutorial info's body, pick up the weapon & hit shit with it - then you can kill your characters without getting Dark Points.
