Q: Were you hoping this album would save you some therapy bills?
A: No. I'm not that self-conscious. What is any piece of art except personal experiences transformed into art? Do you think when Picasso painted something that it was pure fantasy, or do you think he used his real-life experiences to create even a Cubist image? What do you think art is? I don't really understand what you're getting at.
Q: Did writing the album help you come to terms with your friend who died?
A: No, not really. It's just a way of getting through the day.
Hmmm, so you might say it's like therapy?
...and then the rest of the interview is Sean Lennon SEEING THROUGH the interviewer's TRICK. The interviewer wanted to make Sean answer questions about things, but NOT TODAY PAL. You've gotta get up pretty early in the morning to slip one past Sean. |
