That's what I was seeing out of the enromous Tron spinner on a real Tron (non-Discs) machine I encountered a couple weeks ago. I understand that Arkanoid had a similar weighty... meaty feel. I sort of got what I paid for with the spinner I bought, unfortunately.
FIXED. The spinner shaft was rubbing against the edge of the hole in the wood (HOT). The hole was big enough, but when everything is installed and tightened, the spinner is slightly off center, so it was catching an edge. I made the hole bigger and now it's fixed and free spinning, meaning that I can spin it for 3~4 seconds. RELIEF!
NEW PROBLEM: When two grown men are playing a 2-player game and throwing the joystick around with abandon, there is a lot of cabinet sway and wobble. I need to add some braces.
These are lessons for future cabinet builders like bink. |
