2 was good. 3 was that End of Time abortion that was atounding in its own way, namely in how you couldn't believe that someone considered it a finished, professional product.
Not to mention the most ludicrous plot in history.
Get stranded on a primitive medieval planet and get caught up in a local war for 30 hours, only to....have all of your actions invalidated by a deus ex machina over and over. By the end of the game super angels are wiping out all life in the galaxy, and your party steps through a portal to confront "god", only to step out into the REAL WORLD! The whole universe is just an advanced MMORPG and we're all characters! The "milky way server" is getting wiped and the angels are the format function. Thrill to the climatic final confrontation as your characters....race through the MMORPG company's office to confront the boss programmer at his terminal. Insert disc to delete angels and save your...server. What happens after you insert the disc? Are the angels defeated? Is Earth still an irradiated cinder? Who knows, the ending of your characters talking in a grassy field(??) never tells you. |
