...to make a movie look action packed, has anyone seen the ad for the Polar Express that tries to market it as an action movie for kids? (That someone would greenlight a feature length, poorly animated movie of an overrated 20 page children's book is absurd enough. Realizing that no one wants to see this shitty movie and trying to resell it as action packed is just sad.)
Anyway, that was the impression I got from the new Star Wars trailer. I'm sure at some point in the movie a ship flies by and strafes another causing fires. And later, as Jar Jar is fillibustering before the Senate, a pretty cgi flying fire truck floats by in the background. On the brightside, I'm sure we'll get some kick ass wire-fu scenes involving Yoda :( And maybe some action scenes that Lucas thought up while solving jumping puzzles in a video game.
Another thought -- How bad does your movie have to be if the only way to make it look cool is to lift half the scenes in the trailer from a movie that people actually liked once?
