That's quite the one/two punch of things not to get, because "Unsung" is a great song (and Meantime is a great album), and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is also a great album. I don't like Pavement that much, and my wife hates weird shit in general, but we both like that one. "Gold Soundz"? COME ON! What's not to like?
Big bonus points for "Stop Breathin'," a sad and affecting song about tennis. Even better than Ben Folds Five's sad and affecting song about boxing.
Here's the key to liking Helmet: They're metal minus excess. Minimalist metal. If you like that idea, you'll like them, otherwise, no.
