What happened in that scene, BTW, was a bunch of giant robots shooting at each other and also shooting their guns at the ground to do backflips (!). I could never tell which Decepticon was which (especially because aside from Megatron and Starscream I didn't remember any of the Decepticons from the show) but I was just really happy that they were doing a lot of robot fighting, visually coherent or no.

The Devastator vs. US military thing at the beginning was incredible.

Speaking as a guy who remembers the robot dude's namesfound an old transformers catalog recently, I'm curious to know why they changed Brawl's name to Devastator in the movie. He's identified as Brawl in the new movie toy line, and that was his name back in the day. Devastator was the Voltron-ish guy Bonecrusher and his Constructicon buddies turned into. (I'm not advocating putting the stupid Voltron guys in the movie, of course.)
