Forum Overview :: Family Guy Pinball

I had a chance to play Family Guy a couple months ago and, for a beginner at pinball it's a lot of fun. The shots are entertaining and the Stewie mini-pinball a fun little goal to shoot for, especially if you have been playing pinball every other weekend for a year and you're still terrible - not that this applies to anyone here. I would totally get a Family Guy Pinball, if not for the fact that they run about $4500, and Jesus Christ. But "I would allow this in my home" is like one of the best compliments you can give a pinball table.

Stern, the company that made FGP, followed up with Spider-Man. SM is on location at that one arcade a few towns over from me, so as soon as I get the chance I will play it and take pictures and so forth. I have a real problem expressing my opinion about these games because I'm so new to pinball: I don't want to sound like those kids who put a video on Youtube of themselves playing, and trashing, Robotron.

Anyway, that's not why you clicked on this thread. I'm here to tell you that there exists the possibility of a CSI-themed pinball table coming next from Stern.

The Creator of CSI is a big pinball fan, a customer and friend of mine - so that's how it entered into the Stern radar screen. CSI is watched by more than 60 million people a week. It is known all over the world. I'm pretty sure Pat Lawlor will have fun translating the action and mystery to pinball.

There will be great support from the CSI actors and it's creator to push this game into the mainstream. It will probably be shown on TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live, etc. It will also help to push pinball in general. You may even see some other (older) Stern pinball machines featured on the CSI shows in the future as well. There is no marketing money that can pay for the exposure it could get for free.

Remember - we need a bit of variety in well proven themes where the appeal is to the casual player, European marketplace, the consumer market, the tavern, bowling center, etc. Only certain themes hit them all to a certain degree. With what I know coming the next year or so, get some cash together - you'll need it - there are some great games coming and that's not hype.....

Google is enjoying Caltrops more and more each day, with ever-higher search results. So in the event that anyone from Stern is reading: please give us some Caruso. He is this generation's William Shatner. I'm not going to throw suggestions out (except for saying that Caruso/Horatio should start one of his quips when you put a credit in the machine and complete it when the first ball is in play). I know they are probably going to go CSI: Las Vegas for the thing, but still. Consider an Easter Egg. I'm sure that David Caruso is easy to negotiate with and loves past times like pinball and video games. He seems so easy going.
