And the various forums were opened up yesterday, so I've been reading.

From the looks of it, Relic fucked up quite big, but it looks to be getting better with every patch.


Tiger Ace no longer exists (boo hiss)

All the heavy tanks now have a limit of 1 at a time (reasonably yay)

They cost an extra CP to get (yay)

Terror's replacement for the Tiger Ace...the fucking King Tiger (2000hp!). (initial yay!)

The King Tiger is FUCKING FREE (WTF?), BUT, you do only get the one, and if you lose it then you suck and you're not allowed any more, wasting your 9CP ability and losing half your tech-tree. It is very slow and ineffective against infantry, but it absolutely monsters tanks.

The Jadgpanzer in the Tank Hunter tree of the Panzer Elite is also FREE, but again you only get the one, it has recently had a speed buff, but it's still pretty shitty as a tank hunter because it's slow, if it's slow it needs to one shot M10 or lower, otherwise they'll flank forever.

The Panzer Elite infantry comes in super expensive squads of 3, but you can upgrade them to squads of 4 and they can build. Their guns are pretty crap but you can upgrade them in various ways (and due to the Panzer Elite's teching system of build the building whenever they want) they can get MP44's pretty early. (ADDED BONUS: if you build every Panzer Elite building then you get an extra doctrinal power of calling in 2 Panthers, and they're Panzer Elite Panthers, not Wehrmacht Panthers, so they're better and cost 1000mp for the two. Nice work Relic destroying Wehrmacht Tier 4 even more)

Allied AT guns.................CONE HAS BEEN WIDENED, AP shells have had the cost reduced to 35 munitions. Nice work on totally destroying Axis armour.

Panzer Elite don't actually have that many tanks, what people took to think "Mmmm, Tank Elite" or even sensibly "Armour Elite" turns out to actually be the fucking HALFTRACK ELITE, they're a Kampfgruppe that specialises in Halftracks. Every other unit is a fucking half track that still gets taken out by light arms fire, and then suddenly they can pull out a flimsy tank destroy, and an anti-infantry specialised PanzerIV (till the Panther call in or the Jagdpanzer).

The British....the Bren machine gun has "button fire" the act of firing at hatches and scopes on a tank to stop the driver and gunner looking out. This is currently suppression fire for tanks, click the button the tank slows down, if it's left long enough it STOPS and CANNOT MOVE OR FIRE, and then the PIAT engineers, which are fucking OVERPOWERED destroy your tank, but it is an expensive unit, like all British units, so I guess it's allowed to slow it.

Special abilities can be used from inside buildings: eg, suppression fire, AP rounds etc

Bundled 'nades from Stormtroopers now cost 50 munitions, this is because they rape anything in a trench and cos the unit is invisible until it throws it's pretty harsh to have your entire, expensive, squad wiped out (and if they leave the trench the Storms will probably have them for breakfast anyway, they're good, but they ain't that good)

BUT, they've finally done something right: They actually responded to the community doing the testing, with "yeah, the British aren't meant to be so quick, it's a bug, sorry we fucked up" and "Thanks for all the input and doing it all for free"

But they also messed up Rangers. Remember how they could only really take on a Puma? Unless they had the Tommy guns then they could take out infantry too? Now they're almost immune to damage from the offset and they only get tougher with veterancy (which the Panzer Elite gives away easier), they can take out a StuG or PanzerIV from the FRONT and not lose a member, you can charge MP44 storms and Knight's Cross at them and until you get vet 2 you will lose every member, but the Rangers will be unharmed. Vet 2/3 Axis infantry works, but then the Rangers get vet too and they're total snazzy power ends up at enemies = -60% accuracy and damage. Too much buff, too much buff! Take away the new super armour and just give them more hit points, they can keep their cool new guns.

Axis damage tables are the right way round. FINALLY.

Kampkraft Centre doesn't cost fuel to build...OMCG is useful, new critical tables! Damaged Engine/Destroyed Engine is for wheels only, now there's IMMOBILISED so the thing can't even turn, Loose Tracks/Pinion for slowness! The Panzer Elite AT-Halftrack has the special "Aim at Tracks" ability, where it instantly fucks shit up, which stickies also do now, they immobilise 99% of the time.

Looks like some serious testing is going to have to go on! If only they could release the right client for download....
