I mean the wav files, they HAD characters in them playing out little playlets with self contained stories. The characters in them were totally unrelated to Halo, did nothing that was even about master chiefs or space travel or halos or aliens, and barely even talked about the fact that they were in the future. They were struggling with their crazy love lives! Or some shit like that. But then the characters were developed through these sound clips, and then later they started doing some things that eventually would tie in loosely with the Halo 2 story. As I remember it anyway, I dunno, it was very long ago now.
