| I’d write him sexually explicit notes in my 5th form maths class and as they made their way through the class, people would read them and laugh and when they arrived at him he would also laugh, so I thought everyone was a winner and churned those fuckers out! The contents of the notes were usually my (secret) fantasies about the girls who passed the notes along but with this guy's name in place of theirs (so it was kind of two jokes in one for me).
About a month later I get pulled out of PE and taken to the councillor’s office where the boy, the councillor and some guy I was told legally had to be there were sitting. They had a big scrunched up collection of the sex notes. They told me this WAS sexual harassment and they were taking it very seriously, even though many of the notes were ridiculous. The councillor read a few of the notes but some were from imitators who wrote retarded shit pretending to be me and I was outraged. On top of this, I was genuinely very surprised so the councillor thought I’d learned my lesson and decided it wasn't necessary to take any further steps, but they did brief all my teachers about my ‘bullying’ so I wouldn’t try any more of that shit and I ended up getting treated like a dick by some of them because of it. When I asked this guy later about why the fuck he dobbed me in without coming to me first, he said his Mum found the notes in his bag, but bullshit, because how did she find every single note? And why was he keeping the notes anyway. I told everyone about it because I thought it was hilarious to be accused of sexually harassing a guy so it ended up backfiring on the councillor and the guy by making me look cooler and him look worse. It was weird because we had done much worse stuff to him than the notes, and they/he didn’t mention any of that. On rainy days we would put him in a cage made out of desks and use chairs to keep him in the cage (like lion tamers (we referred to him as a lion to make him feel better about it)), and because we stacked the desks high, if it looked like he was going to escape, we would collapse the desks on top of him. He would hurt his elbows and stuff and he’d be angry about this but then later he’d laugh so we thought it was all good. After he told on us, it became too awkward to have him around anymore so rather than be lonely, he went home for lunch every day. Even now I don't feel very guilty about it because his fake smiles and laughs were very convincing. We just thought he was dumb. We didn't think he was sad (which is so much worse). |
