After the Americans had killed the Russians who had killed the family and raped the girl, an American soldier was trying to explain a dead Russian's part in the incident to his captain. He said something like, "Yeah, this Ivan was at it. *kicks boot of dead Ivan* So at it - his dick's still wet." but the book didn't clarify whether the soldier was being literal or if it was just a figure of speech. So as a kid, I thought they had gone around pulling off the pants of all the dead Russians to see whose dicks were wet to decide who was guilty of rape (even though they were already dead and I suppose it didn't really matter). Nevertheless, I thought it was a really clever thing to do, and to this day I still feel clever when I use "getting his dick wet" to describe someone having sex, and "dick's still wet" to describe someone who has recently finished having sex. Tom Clancy has changed my life in that small way. At least I think it was Tom Clancy... But no, I only have a very vague idea of what he looks like, but my curiousity is piqued enough now that I'll Wikipedia him immediately.
