| In Afghanistan today, old people died. A worldwide epidemic, old-age-related deaths have been growing, lagging birth rate trends by a mere 40 to 80 years. Experts predict that many Americans will fall victim to this same condition despite modern advances in medical technology. The cost of old age in America is expected to keep rising, and we know of nothing right now that can stop it from claiming the lives of millions of Americans and their loved ones in the years to come.
