Everything after the alien level is more computer intensive, so if you're already walking a knife edge of performance on that game, the ice levels will end the fragile peace brokered between your computer and Crysis.

I just bought a new computer and I ran the game great up until the aliens. So they kind of layered sadness on top of shit, there.

It's insane that these are the people who claim they listened to the complaints about the Trigens from Far Cry. The Trigens would lunge at your from huge distances and be slightly tougher to kill. That was their horrible crime. Their Crysis replacement is an underwater level, and then flying, laser-shooting Matrix squids. "See? Ve listen to da fans, ja?"

And to the fans: it serves you right for complaining about Trigens, you babies.

I didn't have a problem with the Trigens as a whole, just the rocket shooting one. Specifically, I had a problem with their super armor plated heads and their ability to absorb a whole clip of OICW ammo. I remember having to wedge open the door leading out into the volcano caldera so I could get more bullets to bounce off mutant foreheads. This was on the hardest difficulty level, so if you set your game to cowardly/fun rather than manly/masochistic your experience may have differed.

I can't imagine what complaint they thought they were addressing with the Crysis aliens. If anything, I thought people complained about the incongruent sci-fi-ness of the Trigens and that the gross looking melee Trigens, rocket Trigens, and corridor based terrain pushed the gameplay more towards run and gun. So when they found out people didn’t like those, they… made the entire endgame consist of terrible sci-fi run and gun sequences?

The dollop of shit on top (spoiler following): the ending sets up the sequel for nothing but alien levels. If I'm not punching humvees so hard they flip and throwing people so hard they explode out the backside of outhouses, then forget it.
