Night before last I had a dream that my female coworker and I were looking for my car in the parking lot so that for some reason she could stay over at my house. We eventually found the car, and then we went back to my house, which became some kind of video game programming collective where all the rooms had lofts like it was a dorm. My coworker's husband showed up at about 4 in the morning (I think at some point I internally decided I didn't want it to be a sex dream) and everyone went to bed except me, and I wandered down to a pool area where there was a laptop with some kind of animation program on it. I started messing with it and then Chet (who looked like INC because I don't know what Chet looks like) showed up and showed me how it worked: he pulled up a file of a little video game guy (it looked kind of like an 8-bit NES game) swimming in a pool, and then he pulled up another file and appended it to the end of the swimming guy file. Then he pressed play and the guy swam for a minute and then puked in the water - the puke filled the screen and then coalesced into a chthuluoid shoggoth thing which I guess was going to be a boss monster. "And that's all there is to it!"
So I had a dream that Chet designs games by linking clips together like they're hip hop beats in ACID. |
