OOOOO THE VISUALS is never meaningful to me when I'm listening to music. You're so futteringly stupid - such a gibbering, tasteless, Dire Straits-loving piece of aesthetic waste, that you can't understand anything unless it has a "point." I have the finely tuned disco wank sensibilities of an entire nation of DJs and you say: what is the POINT this is just MUSIC SHEESH WHERE ARE THE HOOKS AND VIDEOS.
Next week I'll do a mixtape of nothing but Loggins & Messina and Zoviet France.
Look on the bright side, I keep running all this past a dude who spent his entire life in music lessons. One day he said "I don't get it, this isn't even pleasant to listen to." Then went back to his His Infernal Majesty and Tori Amos and Led Zep albums. At least when you say "I don't get it, here's something better" you're guilty of only Empty Veeism, not utter banality. |
