But I'm beginning to think that every knob-polishing moron (at this point a small clique containing only Yahtzee, Tycho, and possibly Jerry Whorebach) who raves about the first game never played it to the end. As far as I can tell Yahtzee thought the game ended with the crazy chasing-around scene in the creepy old house.
He's right, it was good, but the painfully slow, obnoxious final burning barnyard-run-around that came after it is infinitely more painful, and you would have to be an absolute goddamn idiot (like Yahtzee) to have completely ignored the way the game hit you over the head with the demonic overtones of why the homeless are all acting like they're in a Manson cult. He would have had to play the game with opaque sunglasses on to miss the fucking splash-screens filling you in on what the hell's going on.
Also: Social Commentary. THERE IS NO SOCIAL COMMENTARY IN CONDEMNED. EXCEPT MAYBE THAT CSI SUCKS.
