It started out as a way of showing a number of David Allan Coe songs to Jerry, but as I tried to think of ways to fill the empty slots I got caught up in the fever and ended up deleting most of the Coe! Now, it's inappropriately still called... http://www.welovejerry.muxtape.com/
Many years ago late at night after a bad wank, ashamed and lonely, I searched napster for MP3's about masturbation. I downloaded them all. There was the usual jokey shit that made me sick and then there was David Allan Coe. He sang about masturbation and sex and made it seem dirty and sad which was just how I felt at the time and still sometimes feel to this day. Masturbation blues, which is the opening track in my mixtape, starts with a female wank, which I always skipped, and half way through, describes a young man wanking in front of a mirror. DAC tells it like it is and this was such a breath of fresh air for me.
'Cum Stains on the Pillow' is a great song about an guy who is an asshole and 'Fuck Anita Bryant' is the most powerful pro-gay song I've heard. There's a bunch of his shit I wanted to show but as I said, I was overwhelmed and decided to show more 'meaningful' shit instead. All the rest of Non-Coe songs I've listed were released in the last 3 years. That's my criteria. There's no rock because Fussbett knows best. His successful recommendations include Ween, Minutemen, Clutch, and his unsuccessful recommendations include Fugazi and a band so unsuccessful I've forgotten their name.
