Fast forward to late August 2004 or whenever - some random douchebag posted a link to Kthor's post that mentioned the affair in passing, citing this as evidence that V was a whore (presumably because she'd had an affair). V was pretty fed up with Caltrops at the time, took exception to being called a whore over an affair she'd had four years ago when she wasn't even any longer with the guy she'd cheated on, all on a site whose bill she was footing. She called up the hosting company, had them clear out the account and told them to clear up the backups.

I thought that she didn't know about two different sets of archives I'd stashed away - one on a hidden network share and an older copy on a CD-R, but I was wrong on both counts.
