The great thing about nerds is that they'll do something nerdy and then just as you think "wow, that's so gay and sad" they reveal that it took 3 years of their lives, or cost $15,000. The nerdiness displayed is always dwarfed by an even more horrible sadness just below the surface. Such is the guy who photographs his Apple Newton in front of landmarks around the world. We meet up with our protagonist as he captures the Newton in a lightning storm:
"I was lucky, as I don't always have a camera in the car, but this day my trusty old Civic was rolling over 333,333 kilometers, so I had a camera to record the event,"
