You may not be able to tell but I'm =(ing you as hard as I can for saying this. "Monolithic, Baby!" is a towering, porn-moustached monument to all things ROCK / RAWK.
Or at least it's a lot better than "God Says No", which I like in a few spots but was left largely unmoved, or "Powertrip", which I think was decent but not really overwhelming, even though it's certainly better than maybe 95% of the other shit I've heard in the past ten years...
Which, uh, I guess doesn't really say much to dismiss your point that rock is basically dead.
But hey, don't forget that Fear Factory made a comeback! Can you not at least throw up the devil horns in honor of "Archetype"? \nnn/ All's I'm saying is there's the occasional bright spot here and there. |
