I wonder how hard it would be to code a side scrolling coop game.
Like for obvious example, let's take just the first stage of Blaster Master where you can jump around in your tank in the forest, and it has that whole underwater area and some other tree type areas. Let's say it was about 10 times bigger, you had a minimap, and there was some more depth to the gameplay. Perhaps it has instances, and you can split off from other people and do them by yourself or do them with a friend or everyone does them all at once, but they would be like 10 of these areas that would be top down shootan, or I dunno, anything, just a sort of different style of game, and then you run through them and kill a small boss and it gives you a part. So say everyone splits up, no one's going to get ahead of anyone else because everyone has to join back up and return the 10 parts. Then the stage is completed, and the parts all come together to make a big mech, and stage 2 is everyone mans a turret as the mech stomps through some area fighting an army of enemies, and then ending with a boss fight that's gigantic.
WOULD THIS BE AWESOME AND FUN? |
