I used to never look people in the eye until I started working on it, about 5 years ago. Now, I can go quite some time without blinking (full disclosure: Ontario buildings are smoke-free) but use this ability sparingly because people seem put off by it. I am often described as graceful ("oddly graceful!" -Sassy) but have reflexes quick enough to catch a piece of raw meat that has slipped from my hand, with that same hand, before it touches the ground. I speak slowly and in a manner that many people find hypnotic ("if you hadn't gotten me on the phone, I'd probably never have met you!" -Sassy). I interrupt people constantly but hate being interrupted myself. |
