Comedic timing is one reason; another is that I won't see people misinformed or bored on my watch.

Nonetheless, I took a scientific high road during tonight's activities (mixed-gender, alcohol-free soiree lasting 5 hours), and kept mental note of interruptions. I had cause to interrupt twice: once during a technical poker chat, again when discussing when it is appropriate to use a belt drive. I did not interrupt women or children.

As a rule, I only associate with those strong enough to object when wronged, and yet I never get called on this interruption business. So when I say "constantly," it appears to be a case of being unfairly critical of myself -- a trait common among high-performance individuals.

Second: staring without blinking is not a skill that demonstrates your mental fortitude.
If that were true, everyone could do it and I wouldn't have had to practice.
People don't like it for the same reason that people don't identify with the facial features of snakes.
IE, it's inhuman and intimidating; fortunate, then, for those I stare at that I consciously avoid it.

Third: people drop stuff and catch it immediately with the same hand all the time, so you can stop sewing your superhero costume now.
Things like linen and first-class mail, sure, but a piece of raw meat? Note that trying to do this means nothing, since people of equal age and limb length all have about the same basal reaction speed. It is more a question of mindset and will, this thing we call "reflexes." You must wait until meat slips unbidden from your hand, before you get to see if you are made from the same tough stuff as I.
