I think the best TNG episode of all time was the one where they found a blubbering future-Picard adrift in a shuttlecraft, and he gave them a dire warning about the impending destruction of the Enterprise and absolutely no other useful information. One of the senior officers suggests they just turn around and go home, and present-Picard said something that stuck with me: "When you're in a situation like this, you can't start second-guessing your actions, because turning around could be the thing that gets your ship destroyed in the first place." Words to live by! |
