I found Mr. Robot to be a great example of why isometric platformers died. I foolishly bought it right when it was first released only to find that the whole thing was crate-shoving and pixel-perfect platforming over instakill water traps with the added bonus of confusing isometric controls to add that little extra "oops I meant to move in the other direction, now I'm dead" moments. As for the turn based combat, The Desolate Room does that 10x better. It is pretty for an indie game, though. |
