How the fuck do you try to write a review of a game and end up writing a review of yourself? The author is too impressionable, hype made him get Fallout 3, and then silently mehing it to himself didn't produce enough indie points so he returned it and blamed the entire thing on corporate programming from his youth? It's just baffling, if you didn't have any clue what Fallout 3 was going to be like you're just completely out of touch with gaming. There was enough gameplay, enough full quest walk-throughs, and enough context clues (hint it is gonna be based off the Oblivion engine) for any fucking idiot to know exactly what the game was going to be long before it came out. If I didn't enjoy playing video games I wouldn't spend any time trying to identify myself as a gamer, I'd probably identify myself as whatever else I would do: open source contributor, guy who reads in coffee shops, or person who makes lavish multimedia presentations for zero.day bluray water bondage rips on cheggit. So what is it with people who proudly admit they haven't enjoyed a game since <idiotic indie title> or <obscure retro title>? Maybe these people have had enough? Maybe they should just move on? Maybe they should just fuck off? |
