I'm going to try something new (for me) and frame this as good news: Unless you purchased and built this PC from parts and you know for a fact that your power supply came right from Heaven to power your gaming addiction, that little bastard fan probably just saved you a lot of money. Crappy power supplies have crappy fans, and uber machines deserve GOOD power supplies with good fans, or at least decent ones. A good power supply is cheaper than a good stick of RAM, cheaper than a chip, cheaper than a good motherboard, and cheaper than a good HD or DVD burner. In fact you'd be hard pressed to spend a giant pile of money on a power supply and get better than you could for like $50, assuming you're not running a server.
You'd make a good mechanic. Just add more zeros to your figures. |
