The Governor decided he was going to release one of the prisoners because it was Christmas and the voters eat that shit up (the releasing hardened criminals on Christmas shit). So he got together with the warden (Ghost Busters' Winston Zeddmore) and selected the most militant, most Islamic one they had because, again, GOOD PR. The only thing they didn't count on was just how militant and islamic he was: he refused the clemency in front of a live audience of millions, opting instead to stay where he was needed, on Gilligan's Island, I mean in Oz, which I'm sure wasn't a decision he regretted five minutes later and every day for the rest of his life. So the (apparently evil?) Governor got egg on his face, metaphorically speaking, and everything went back to exactly how it was at the start of the episode. Then a wheelchair guy came out and left us with something to think about, just like in that other award-winning cable series, The Hitchhiker. It was awesome. |
