I fly home for Christmas, and it's a long-standing tradition that my flights get fucked up and either delayed, cancelled, or both. This year it was both.
My original flight was delayed due to "airplane maintenance," and then cancelled due to the same thing. I have a feeling "cancelled due to airplane maintenance" more than likely means, "it was more economical to cancel the flight than pay for a plane full of hotel rooms. Fuck your holidays, thanks for flying Northwest." I got rebooked out of a different airport that would have had me make my same connection on time, but then that flight was delayed 3 times and now I'm sitting in Detroit.
My next flight doesn't leave until nighttime, so I get to spend all night and all day in Detroit. Since we all know it's a shithole, where they can't EVEN sell houses for $1, in what hilarious and gruesome ways will I be killed before I leave? |
