| as much like you as possible? People like me try to depict our souls in an avatar, which means mostly giant robots or huge muscly guys wearing dainty, silky, shimmery outfits. Beauty is truth and truth, beauty! Most normal folks seem to be content with avatars that take their best feature and lump it in with all the other best features available, or whatever they think looks funny.
But people who are serious graphic artist types do this thing where their avatars look uncannily like them; a graphic artist I work with managed to make a Warhammer Online dwarf that is his spitting image, right down to his fucked up quiff haircut, and it scared the shit out of me. Another dude, who is a DBA professionally but a webcomic author on the side, has this compulsion where the first thing he does in a new house with a Wii is sit down and recreate himself as a Mii. I don't get it! |
