Of course with Clear Sky you don't need that.
I finished Clear Sky by the way. There's a certain point in the game where you can't really go back and get rich selling weapons. Eventually the game stopped letting me drag bodies too, but at that time there was nowhere to go but through red forest, then some torn up town with Monolith soldiers, and then to Chernobyl where it turned out I was on an invisible timer the whole time (good thing the autosave was at the beginning or I'd be really fucked). Instead of bothering with the merchant system, they just handed me a fuckin OICW and a gauss rifle from out of nowhere and told me to go run and shoot through this one area. I had like 50 contact grenades but not even the correct weapon to use it on, because it only dropped earlier in the game and then never showed up again. So I chased the guy down, shot him, then it plays a really short video of how the blowout kills us all anyway and Strelok's mind is erased or something. The reputation system doesn't even come into play at this part, unless you dumbly decided to make an enemy of duty or freedom, who you can have help you in a couple scenes.
I figured out why it was crashing all the time too. Every time I died, I would just hit the quickload key to load up my last save. It turns out that's really unstable, and if you hit jump to go back into the menu and load up your last save from the menu, it won't crash. That's pretty stupid but at least it made the game playable. |
