Against Nature by JK Huysmans
The gayest book ever written. Hilariously gay, and a classic work of French decadence. The main character is a weak oversensitive inbred descendant of a formerly noble family who tries to attain his birthright of being a blight on society by building a Ludwig II style fantasy retreat for himself to molder in. His petty, bitchy resentment is very entertaining; in one chapter he tries to foment a revolution by plying a boy with sexual favors and then abruptly cutting him off.
Here is an excerpt in which his gay flowers give him gay nightmares:
Against Nature wrote:
Before him, in the middle of a vast clearing, enormous white clowns were jumping about like rabbits in the moonlight.
Tears of discouragement filled his eyes; never, no never would he be able to cross the threshold -- 'I shall be crushed,' he thought -- and, as if to justify his fears, the series of enormous clowns was proliferating.
...
He made superhuman efforts to free himself from the woman's embrace, but with an irresistible gesture she held him in her arms, seizing hold of him, and he saw, his face haggard, the wild Nidularium blossoming between her upraised thighs, opening wide its sward-shaped petals above the bloody interior.
The main character is gloriously shameless, he is the mirror universe version of Charles Bronson.
