Torg? by Bill Dungsroman 01/06/2005, 11:54am PST
Torg was an early 90s release RPG that was an utter rip-off of Steve Jackson's GURPS. It boasted itself as the "Anywhen" gaming system. You could play it as a traditional sword 'n' sorcery RPG, or paramilitary modern army, or even...THE FUTURE! Or an Arcanum-esque mishmash. Except, the rules sucked. Sword does 1d6. M-60 does 100d10 (seriously). I bought it and it nearly instantaneously ate up shelf space forever next to such classic tabletop games as Bug-Eyed Monsters (by Greg Costikyan) and Starship (Star Fleet Battles for retards).
