I always thought the whole reason something is prescription-only medication is because it has serious and potentially harmful side effects and should only be administered as a controlled regimen by a trained professional to treat serious disease.
Now I just saw a prescription drug ad for EYELASH THICKENER! Why fuck around with makeup when you can take a drug and risk permanent eye disfigurement?
The only thing better than that is all the STD medication ads featuring people slutting around and saying, "I have Herpes! But it won't slow me down!" followed by a mumbled monotone saying "does not prevent transmission." I'd bet money someone in the marketing department suggested the "fuckin'" line of ads to increase their potential customer base in more ways than one. |
