User review of 1993 movie RISING SUN.
Teaches you the sad truth about women, 29 November 2001
Author: yarborough from northridge, ca
When I saw "Rising Sun" at the movies in 1993, I learned a lesson about women that before I never would've thought was true: women prefer men who treat them like dirt over those who treat them like human beings. Since kindergarten, I was raised to believe that it is important to treat a girl with respect and that girls like it when boys are nice to them. But, thanks to this film and the remark by a female critic (I forget her name but it is on the back of the film's cover) that this movie is "so sexy," I now realize why girls didn't seem to like it when I was nice to them and always seemed to prefer guys who were mean, low-life jerks. Before I saw this film, I thought women would find it disgraceful if a man ate sushi off of a naked woman's body (practiced by the oh-so-cultured Japanese) while licking sake off of another woman's nipple; but, obviously, it isn't disgraceful, but, rather preferable, to women. Advice to all young men like me, who were raised to treat women with dignity: "Forget it! Women are to be treated as sex objects and only as such. Treat them nicely and you'll be alone!" |
