| I was just wondering if anybody could tell me why Guinea worms are called Guinea worms. I'd Google it but I have a bad stomach ache right now and I don't really want to inadvertently see a photo of somebody pulling a Guinea worm out of their skin. I figure that if none of you know why they are called Guinea worms, at least someone would actually want to see a photo of a Guinea worm being pulled out of somebody's skin and could Google it for me.
