Original Title: You fucking idiot
Like hell you blow off all your steam at once. What about all the grudge you've stored up against people here, refusing to do cooking vids and shit because someone made fun of you? You're crazy.

You believed that bullshit? And you actually took that seriously? Do you really think I still (or even did) hate you for one stupid comment, (this one) and as a result I permanently consider you dead to me? It's part of my schtick, my online persona. One of the benefits is it allows me, when you say something, to dismiss it - and you - by saying that you're a mindless zombie. Or why I call the people who post here - which probably includes myself - "cretinous reprobatesTM," it's intended to poke fun at what they're saying, by in effect saying they're a bunch of stupid morons. (The terms are not synonyms; a person can say stupid things even if of above average intelligence, and a person of less-than-normal intelligence can say things of serious, even thought provoking content.)

The reason I don't do (or don't do enough) cooking videos is that they are time consuming and require a lot of work.

No, that's not correct. They take a goddamn shitload of fucking work.

I have to
* set up the camera (or cameras) on a tripod,
* arrange the tripods so they're not in my way while I'm making the food,
* record what I'm doing, which may mean having to do the work a different way in order to explain
* unconnect the cameras from the tripods
* strike the tripods
* pull the memory cards out of the camera and into the card reader on my computer (sometimes it doesn't work to read and wipe the memory card through the USB port)
* convert the video from AVI to WMV (Windows video editor locks up and crashes if you feed it any format except WMV)
* cut and trim the video to remove overly long and unnecessary material (which I don't do as well as I should, if I removed all the unnecessary material my videos would all be 0:00 in length)
* splice material from different cameras to create the desired story
* sometimes do post-production adjustments such as add light to dark segments, add photos, etc.
* add the opening footage (that "Paul Robinson Presents" that one of the other people here did for me)
* add my signature ending (my e-mail address)
* render the video for release
* upload it to YouTube

And all of the work not on the computer is being done by a man who has to use a wheelchair to move himself around. Try it sometime; consider the extra time and care that has to be done to move around in a wheelchair which is 4 feet long and 3 feet wide vs. someone who can walk whose legs are about six - eight inches in diameter and are separately movable.

You might not have noticed, but the last video I did was not trimmed as much as I usually do, I just wanted to get one done in a hurry so you lovable cretinous reprobatesTM would stop bothering me for a while. I usually try to make the videos tighter and more focused.

All in all, the work beyond filming the original video - collection, editing and post-production - takes about one minute for each second of completed video. I am not kidding, I can do a piece resulting in a five minute video, and the editing, combining, rendering and upload times can make it take 10 hours.

Let's also note something I didn't really mention much because it's not important and I do not ask for pity. My right hand and wrist have problems similar to carpal tunnel syndrome. I can't do long stretches at the computer of working a mouse - which is generally necessary for video editing - before my wrist starts to hurt. A couple hours and I can be in serious pain until I rest my arm for much longer.

So it's a lot of work, but it's fun to do. Now, I don't mind if people say they don't like what I do, or felt there was something wrong with the video, when you do art you're supposed to be thick skinned and serious feedback allows a person to improve what they are doing.

What really bothers me is after I complete the long and sometimes literally painful process to do a video, the complaints I hear are insults because I haven't done another one which those complaining act like they are entitled to have me do them, like I'm some sort of slave whose sole purpose and reason to exist is to provide entertainment to them.
