Is it because your autism makes you incapable of human compassion? Or some other reason?

I still o not know why you imagine (1) I have autism; (2) I lack compassion; (3) I give a shit what you think.

I am deeply insulted about this because I have been a registered Libertarian for the past 20 years. As Maryland is a closed primary state, in order to vote for Trump in Maryland's primary on Tuesday, April 26, I would have had to change my party registration to republican on or before March 26.

Now as far as the November general election is concerned, Trump still has to either win enough states to get the delegates to win the Republican Party Nomination as its candidate, or, if nobody gets a majority at the convention, get enough delegates to switch and vote for him.

I have seen nothing to show any reason to vote for him. And your idea that he might be the Republican candidate presumes that he lives long enough to be elected. There is a lot of anti-Trump sentiment, there's been at least one attack upon him while he was at a campaign rally, and he's not part of the political establishment. He's an outsider and this potentially makes him very dangerous to the Republican bigwigs.

Let's not forget President Ford was a fairly decent, harmless man as president and had two assassination attempts. A lightning rod like Trump could attract worse crazies out from under their rocks who (erroneously) think he's like Hitler and decide to save the world by picking him off. As John Malkovich more-or-less stated in "In the Line of Fire," all it takes to kill a president - or frankly, any public figure - is some sick fuck who is willing to trade his (or her) life for the person they want to kill.

Beyond that, you do realize that I will never be voting for any candidate for President of the United States? Nor will you. The general public votes for the electors who represent the particular candidate (or party) for president. Those electors, who are equal to the number of senators and representatives that each state has, are the only ones who actually do vote directly for the president of the United States. This is how the Electoral College works for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Remember how Bush Jr. won the election even though Gore had more popular votes? Bush won more votes in the Electoral College.

Here's a video I did for the 2008 election where Obama was running against McCain, and I point out that if one candidate gets the eleven largest states by electoral college vote, they win even if the other candidate gets all 39 other states and the District.
