I got into Ultima Online late in its life. I was really surprised that they expected you to live like a dirt farmer at first. When I played it for a few days you started with nothing! You had to know someone and hope they gave you money. Similarly, the Eve bit where it's in your best interest to logon every day, if even for a bit, and click a button to make stats go up. I can see why they benefit. I can see why I'd benefit. I can also see that I don't need something else to do before I get ready for work.

The elbow in Double Dragon was pretty overpowered and unlike VATS in Fallout or slashing people in the neck in Akane, the elbow did get kind of old.

There has been a thing in Madden football every year since it was on the Playstation, maybe earlier. It will not let you keep a player in place. If you have a middle linebacker and you want to see which way the QB rolls to shadow him you have to still move him a little, otherwise the computer takes over and moves him for you, where it thinks he should go. I can't say I'm surprised it's still there after 20 years, it's always some of the worst software in the world. I'll never play it as long as it has that, which is going to apparently be always.
