| I went to the post office just now to get my mailbox key.
I got to the counter and a little asian girl said, "did you get a call?" "No" "then the key may not be ready." "Can you check?" "I'm the one who does it and it's probably not ready" "Well it's been a week, how long does it take?" "3 weeks." And I slumped. "Well I need my mail." "I can check." "Yeah check." So then I waited for a few minutes and she comes back with "This is your mail carrier" and it's this guy who's already yelling at me "there wasn't a hold on your mail [whatever that means] so don't yell at her!" "I wasn't . . . " "AH AH AH AH AH!" he says holding his hand up to shut me up. "She's afraid of you!" I'm stunned. "Now there's a hold on your mail so it'll stay here instead of going to your box. Do you want me to bring back your mail and you can pick it up here or do you want to meet me over there at about 3 ish?" " . . . " "It's a simple question sir!" "What is going on here? Can you give me a sec?" I have no idea what just happened. |
