I was going to post saying that you're an idiot and your opinions are shit except: that movie really did suck. I don't agree with your reasons, though, except for number 2. That shit with Arwen was time that could have been used fixing other major problems with this movie. But I didn't mind making Gimli into the comic relief so much. And your reason number 3 is completely trivial.

Here's what I hate (***SPOILERS***) Frodo trying to give the ring to a Ringwraith. Uh, doesn't this mean that Sauron knows where the fucking ring is now? (I suppose Sauron could subsequently lose track of the ring. But that Ringwraith didn't make any second effort to grab that thing. Why didn't he call in all his buddies? An army from Mordor was besieging the town that the ring was seen in so it's not like there weren't reinforcements nearby.) Also, how big of a pussy is Frodo anyway? In the book, he was a commanding presence when taming Smeagol. There's barely a hint of that in this movie. He does not seem much like a hero, reluctant or otherwise. And then, after seeing Frodo almost GIVE THE FUCKING RING TO THE ENEMY, Faramir says, "Okay, what the heck, go to Mordor then." I seem to remember Faramir being very wise. In this movie he's a lunatic. Sam's pep talk to Frodo was pretty fucking horrendous, too.

Elves should not have been fighting at Helm's Deep. Period. Also, Aragorn was a Captain of Men, soon to be King, not a fucking Elven commander. Why is he speaking Elvish through this entire goddam movie?

Why did we suddenly get a ton of narration from Galadriel in the middle of the fucking movie? My brother looked at his watch to see if the thing was over; it sure felt like that sort of wrap-up. Was she telepathically communicating with Elrond? Did Peter Jackson put that entire stupid thing with Arwen, Elrond, and Galadriel in there just so that these actors would have something to so in this second movie? YES. What an excellent reason to fuck up the story completely.

Minor problems: Saruman possessed Theoden? Why was Grima there then? Gandalf heals him by bonking him on the head? Idiotic.

That sword of Aragorn's that isn't anything special continues to not be special in any way. He surrenders it without a peep at the doors to Meduseld. Just a reminder of one of the biggest fuckups in the first movie.

Now that I've had some time to reflect on the movie, I have to say that I did enjoy it. But it wasn't as good as the first movie. The stuff that irritated me really irritated me, so when I left the theater that was all I was thinking about. But there were many other parts that were good. So I'm softening my judgement on this movie to "okay" instead of "suck".
