High Heat 2003, MVP Baseball 2003 by Ice Cream Jonsey 05/12/2003, 4:32am PDT
I think CGW got a bulk discount on captions this month.

High Heat 2003:

MVP Baseball 2003:

So it looks like mostly a dead heat between these two games, save for MVP Baseball's two advantages: the "circle change," as noted above, together with actual mouse support. I will give High Heat credit for trying to beat EA at their own game, however. EA Sports likes to introduce features one year, then remove them, then re-introduce them. But even they never had the balls to take away actual peripheral support before. High Heat 2004 will be able to put "NOW... WITH MOUSE SUPPORT!" on the box. I hope EA doesn't try to top them next year by removing keyboard, sound card, or video support.

(Also, MVP Baseball has Randy Johnson and Miguel Tejada on the cover -- Tejada is currently batting .208, and Johnson is out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury. EA placed Marshall Faulk on Madden 2003's box and Jarome Ignila on the NHL 2003 box, and both had significantly worse seasons than in their previous years. If they ever put a team photo on one of their sports game covers, expect the team plane to get shot down, TWA 800 style, at some point during the season.)
