Digg users try their best to put more nails into the PC gaming coffin. It's too bad the original screenshots have now been removed, but I hope we all remember them. The PC screens had higher resolution but no lighting. NO LIGHTING. Just flat brightness everywhere, not a shadow to be seen.

I think that the PC version looks fine.

I think the PC version looks much better than the PS2, but the lighting is kinda crap.

I aggree with seanthebond, the contrast is a bit off but that's clearly user settings... The actual image looks better than both the others.

wtf, people.
it's a PORT. It's not a new game. For what a "PORT" is worth, this is a pretty sweet transition to the PC.
The graphics are good. Some people may argue there's a lack of atmosphere, but it's a no brainer that everything looks cleaner, sharper and there's simply more detail everywhere.
hybridcreation on 2/05/07 wrote:
It looks alright....the textures are definitely better, but the lighting it brighter. I'll take higher-res textures over lighting any time.
firehydra2k on 2/05/07 wrote:
Graphics look fine. Computers tend to be more detailed with the lighting. Plus, it can also depend on the computer it's run on.
Keep the selfish opinions to yourself.

maybe its just me... but i think it looks better... no jaggies.. crisper.. looks darker...which isnt really that bad since the game is suppose to be scary.. honestly i think both the gcn and ps2 are too over done to the point where it looks like a basic light no light game.
howser2007 on 2/05/07 wrote:
Actually, the PC version looks a lot better. The console versions look like way too much light was used to hide the low texture size and resolution. The PC version looks more life-like.

OH NO, THE RESIDENT EVIL 4 PORT ON THE PC DOESN'T HAVE HIGH RES TEXTURES WITH BUMP MAPPING AND PER PIXEL LIGHTING. I AM SO FUCKED. THIS SUCKS.
I"M GOING TO GO PLAY MY PS2 WHERE I CAN'T SEE SHIT.
One of my peeves on the GC was that I could barely see what the laser was focused on. Now, I can see everything in perfect detail. The blow might be softened because I also have a wired 360 controller to plug in to customize and make the control scheme more like Gears of War, but so far I'm loving it. The 360 controller is more sensitive as well, I can turn slightly faster to aim.
The graphics are fine. If you really expected Capcom to completely re-texturize it just for the PC port, you were an ignorant idiot to begin with. The game is fine.

who cares what it looks like (even though it looks fine, and is a much higher resolution)

wtf are you talking about, the pc version clearly looks better than the ps2 and gc.

PC version looks fine. Not as good as PS2 but rivals the GC version. I don't really see what the big deal is |
