I've been watching America's Ballroom Challenge on PBS for the past few weeks now because I figured it was inevitable that sooner or later two of the dancing pairs would collide with one another, and I wanted to see it. Then tonight it finally happened, while I was in the bathroom. I caught the instant replay but it just wasn't the same, I might as well have watched one of the hundreds of thousands of YouTubes of ballroom dancers colliding. Fuck PBS and fuck commercial-free television in general.
(Which is not to say I didn't appreciate all the gratuitous panty-flashing in the Soviet team's Shrek-themed number, because I totally did.) |
