Are Tyranid still invincible with ripper capping?[/quote] Eldar are better, but still have problems, warp spiders are a lot better but you need multiple squads and the Tyranid leaping bug is still in so welp. Warp Spider commander for early dominance, concede the middle game and then end game phase shift and shimmer orb to assassinate key units (it takes teamwork, but try phase shifting that big tyranid blob and dropping an Orbital Strike on them just as it wears off). Tactical marines win against everything but they have upkeep now so two squads will cripple your economy and their melee has been toned down. Walkers are prevalent, but only the Dread has any staying power and he's slow as hell. Ripper spam is, oddly enough, countered best by going Ravener and not building any rippers. Choose acid splatter melee upgrade, melee synapse and the upgrade that either slows dudes or whatever and then go to town raping everything all the time. Ravener one shots Orcs and kills 4 or 5 rippers per attack with this set up. Tunnels give a superior mobility that lets you out cap and basically Ravener is still the best Tyranid hero but RELIC will "balance" the fuck out of it soon. They're adding two 2v2 maps soon, one of them has been shown and it's a night time industrial map and it looks pretty neat I guess. I wish they would roll it back to the early beta, that game was much better.[/quote]
