Weren't we talking about checkpoints and ease of access?

I will actually put up with virtually any nonsense to unlock a teleporting safehouse, as it is by far one of the most painless ways to handle transport. GTA4's nonexistent answer to this problem makes it an easy call.
It exists, you either hail a cab or you call Roman. I admit that it's bullshit that Roman is always unavailable, and finding a cab driving around an alley at 2 AM is an exercise in sodomy, but this is less painful than having to flip 5 fucking safehouses for every new island you visit where I succinctly remember you were rolling the dice as to whether you got fucked with a grenade or not.
Look, I don't care if you like it or not.
Well that's just like...your opinion, man.
the fact is JC for all of its flaws isn't the antithesis of the genre.
It's just dogshit.
Every one of the games I've listed down to Assassin's Creed did a better job of that, because I would rather have fewer tools available to me but the ability to choose when to employ them most of the time.
Now that's just crazy talk. Assassin's Creed didn't have a quick-travel option at all. It had one checkpoint, the one where you finally got to the fucking place you needed to go to kill your guy. This handles it better than GTAIV? Sometimes I think you just enjoy being a contrarian about all this shit to make us all suffer for the fact you don't have a decent PC and have to play shitty versions of good games on the XBOX360.
