Re: Morrowind

For some reason last night before sinking into unconsciousness I had a flicker of desire to play Black Isle's Lionheart. I know it's wrong but I may just do it anyway.
I hate that feeling, I have that feeling all the time. I have it for Arcanum (which I own) and also for Lionheart (which beckons for 15 bucks out of the used rack at EB). "Oh, it can't be that bad, what else am I gonna do? Play BG2 again?" Yeah, but it is that bad, and maybe you should try soloing that monk after all.
Rescued by Doom3. In a time when dev houses release annual mods and charge for them again (Epic), id has taken three years and made one of the most engrossing, detailed, knock-you-on-your-ass games ever made. Elements of SystemShock2 (picking up audio logs), Deus Ex (security codes, etc), Resident Evil (gore, action, etc), wrapped in a state-of-the-art engine is pure love. Seriously. Buy it. Buy it twice.
