Please start a thread on Metafilter about _Gone With the Wind_. I guarantee you that someone will state how uncomfortable they find the line, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." How that dialogue <i>crosses the line</i> and they were having trouble showing that movie to their children because of how barbaric that sort of attitude is. They will sit there and coo with each other like the eggs in _Alien_ and try to top one another. Who is most sensitive? Rhett is such a terrible role model! I like this movie in spite of its 17th Century attitude towards women! etc[/quote]
