I'm not going to make a "both sides are wrong" argument because that's all horseshit, too, there's a lot of other ways people approach this and there ends up not being two sides at all, really. here's why picking on cdpk for this is actually appropriate: if you look at <a href="http://www.behance.net/gallery/Cyberpunk-2077/6573211">this site</a> with the concept art for the game it's the same as the trailer: men are dressed for the situation and standing ready to fight but women are drawn on their knees. in a future where both what constitutes a human body and its capabilities are completely arbitrary, there's no goddamned reason for all the cops to be a team of white dudes with one token black dude. the physiological things (or more accurately our cultural context?) that make us think "men are soldiers and women are not" become even less meaningful when you can replace your bones with titanium and anyone - no matter how they look on the outside - might be able to lift a car over their head. of course the rps writer never gets into that because he's a fucking scrub. I'm on board with that site not being very good now and these interviews being a strong example of why. the dev's answer should have been "she's the lead character and we want the trailer to get people talking about the game" or "it's a specific reference to daryl hannah in blade runner" or something because with the answers he gave he'd have been better off not giving an interview at all.
